The standards every article is held to, and how to hold us to them.
Purpose
Our aim is to help readers understand psychology and emotional wellbeing in clear, accurate, humane language. We publish for education, not treatment.
Research and sourcing
- Factual claims about psychology, mental health or research are based on identifiable sources — peer-reviewed research, reputable public-health bodies, professional organisations or well-established books.
- Sources are listed at the end of the article whenever they are used. Where a claim is contested or preliminary, we say so.
- We do not invent studies, statistics, quotations, credentials or case histories. Illustrative examples are clearly presented as such.
Authors, credentials and review
- Every article carries a named byline. Author pages describe each writer honestly.
- Professional credentials are shown only when they are real and verifiable.
- We display “reviewed by” information only when a named reviewer has actually reviewed that specific article. If an article has not had expert review, we do not imply that it has.
Dates, updates and corrections
- Each article shows when it was first published and, if it has been materially revised, when it was last updated.
- We review articles periodically and update them when better evidence or guidance appears.
- If you spot an error, tell us via the contact page. Substantive corrections are made promptly and, where appropriate, noted on the page.
Independence and advertising
Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial interests. If we ever publish sponsored content or use affiliate links, it will be clearly labelled. Books and products published by Clear Mind Academy are identified as ours.
Safety and sensitive topics
We avoid diagnosing readers, promising outcomes or discouraging professional care. Where topics touch on crisis or safety, we point to appropriate help. See our disclaimer.
Use of AI tools
Any use of AI-assisted tools in research or drafting is subject to the same rules as the rest of this policy: a human editor is responsible for accuracy, sources are verified, and nothing is published that we have not reviewed.
